My name is Katherine Britton, This year I will be teaching our new Bobcats 6th Grade Science!
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Houston with my B.S. in Teaching and Learning, With a focus on secondary education, as well as the scientific fields of Astronomy and Geology. I am certified to teach science grades 4-8 in Texas.
I love being active! I play soccer on an indoor and outdoor team weekly, and I exercise and train at the gym daily. Physical fitness is very important to me, and I hope to inspire others to be healthy and fit as well. I enjoy martial arts, running, biking, swimming, and most forms of cardiovascular exercise, as well as resistance and high intensity training.
In addition to physical activity, some of my special interests are indoor and outdoor plant keeping, maintaining my aquariums, raising animals, crocheting, reading, and playing video games on PC and console, listening to music, bowling, and A LOT more! I enjoy spending time with my friends, my boyfriend, my two younger brothers, and my parents. My youngest brother is a senior at Travis High School, and my dad is a high school Physics/Chemistry teacher in FBISD as well!
I am very excited about being your teacher this school year and look forward to getting to know all of my students!
