• 2025-2026 Course Selection Information

    Schedule Correction

    OPENS: August 13, 2025 @ 12:00 AM

    DEADLINE: August 22, 2025 @ 4:00 PM

    To maintain balanced class sizes and minimize disruptions, schedule changes will only be made for the following reasons via the Schedule Correction Request Form:

    • A student is enrolled in a class they have already completed.
    • A student is placed in the wrong gender-specific PE/Athletics class.
    • A student lacks the prerequisites for a class (e.g., enrolled in Art II without completing Art I).
    • A student wants to move from Academic to AAC.

    To request a schedule correction, please complete the Schedule Correction Request Form and submit it to your counselor. The deadline for all schedule corrections is nine days after the start of each semester.

    We cannot accommodate requests for specific teachers, class periods, lunch preferences, or preferred semesters.

    2025-2026 JBMS Schedule Correction Request

    Level Down Request

    OPENS: September 3, 2025 @ 8:00 AM

    CLOSES: October 31, 2025 @ 4:00 PM

    Students wishing to request a level change must stop by the Counselor’s office to pick up a Level Change Request Form after the first 3 weeks of school.

    • Leveling down is contingent on the available space in the requested course.
    • If the student levels down from a weighted class to a non-weighted class, the exact grade from the weighted class shall transfer to the on-level course with no grade adjustments.
      • In the case of failing grades, teachers may assign alternative assignments in order to fulfill a grade change of up to a 70.
    • Student has a class average below a 75.
    • Requests for those with a 75 or higher with the intent to improve their GPA will not be approved.

     

    The following must be completed prior to submission of a level down form.

    • Student, parent, and teacher conference via TEAMS or in person,
    • A success plan created, attempted, and monitored
    • Student must attend a minimum of 3 tutorials
    • Student must complete all assignments

     

    Please note, the form must be fully completed before your request can be considered.

    Gifted and Talented Referral Window

    OPENS: August 12, 2025 @ 12:00 AM

    CLOSES: September 30, 2025 @ 4:00 PM

    Students eligible for fall evaluation

    • Currently enrolled FBISD students in grades K-11
    • Students who are not identified for gifted and talented services in FBISD in any content area.
