Hello Everyone,

My name is Jessica Langford. This is my first year at Bowie Middle School. This is my 6th year teaching in the Fort Bend Independent School District.  I have been teaching Physical Education for 13 years.  I taught PE at Oakland Elementary from 2020-2025.  I grew up in the Houston area. I graduated from The University at Austin in 2012 with an undergrad degree in Applied Learning Development with a minor in kinesiology.  Later, I graduated from Concordia University - Texas with a Masters in Sports Administration in 2016. I will be coaching 8th grade volleyball, basketball and soccer. I played sports throughout my childhood. I have played and coached women’s tackle football for six years and won a championship in 2018 with the Houston Energy. 

 In PE, I hope to encourage sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth, over a must-win attitude. I find sport/exercise to be a great stress reliever, an escape from frustrations, and an opportunity to strengthen one’s fitness, no matter winning or losing. I believe in the value of equipping students with practical, lifelong health skills, which cross over subjects and develop character.
