I am proud to say that I began my teaching career at Quail Valley Middle School in 2012. I have taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade English Language Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies, World Cultures and Geography, Texas History, and U.S. History. I received my Associate’s Degree from the Houston Community College System in Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Theater, and I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio’s Ashford University in Social Science with a Concentration in Education. I started my education journey in Early Childhood, where I spent 7 years as a pre-school teacher, and then went on to spend the next 8 years as an after-school care teacher and director for FBISD's Extended Day Program. I have taught Sunday School classes at local churches, Acting classes at local theaters, and Reading, Writing, and Speech and Drama classes at local tutoring companies. I enjoy meeting students where they are at and challenging them to create their own solid sense of student ownership over their thinking, work, and academics. My personal philosophy is that positivity promotes the type of productivity that helps people find their purpose.
