Coding Club

  • Welcome to the Fort Bend Coding Club at Quail Valley Middle School.

Here, students will be exposed to, learn, and practice the basics - intermediate - advanced levels of computer programming that is not only fun and interesting to students but also gives them a window to future paths that will be open to them. Along with foreign languages, coding is a language needed for careers of the future.

The students will use different program language to begin to learn to code. They use platforms such as(but not limited to) Code.org and Scratch, which has block code which the students uses to create their animations, games, and storytelling.

QVMS Coding Club  inspires our students to be leaders and problem solvers in their lives and their community.  We aim for our students to participate in the rigourous and challenging competitions held annually.  We incorporate high school mentors to facilitate lessons and support our sponsor to prepare us to go into the community to display our skills and foster meaningful relationships today...  tomorrow and beyond!
