I am proud to say that I have been a Quail Valley Middle School Raider for the past 5 years. I have taught English Language Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies, Texas History, and World Cultures and Geography. I received my Associate’s Degree from the Houston Community College System in Fine Arts with an Emphasis in Theater, and I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Ohio’s Ashford University in Social Science with a Concentration in Education. I started my teaching journey in Early Childhood Education, where I spent 7 years as a Pre-School teacher, and continued by working with elememtary school-aged children through FBISD'S Extended Day Program, where I spent a total of 7 years, as well, and became a Site-Coordinator for the program. I have also taught Sunday School classes at local area churches, Acting classes at Fort Bend Community Theater, Reading and Writing classes at Star Learning Center, and Public Speaking classes at Momentum Learning Academy. I thorougly enjoy meeting students where they are at, and then challenging them to rise up to their next level of learning. I strive to create a solid sense of student ownership over their thinking and choices, which translates to their work and academics. My personal philosphy is that positivity promotes productivity where people find purpose.
