Ms. Kathleen Garcia

Hello, Mavericks!

Welcome to a fresh new year! My name is Ms. Garcia and I am the Assistant Band Director for David Crockett Middle School in Fort Bend ISD. I earned a bachelor's degree in Music from St. Mary's University, and a master's degree in Music Education from The University of North Texas. This will be my seventh year teaching and I am excited about getting to know you and guiding you all to be the best musicians that you can be. I will primarily oversee the Symphonic Band, all Beginner Woodwind and Trumpet classes. When I am not teaching, I love surrounding myself with my family, fiance, and two Frenchies, Charlie and Chester. We enjoy hiking, traveling, collecting uno decks, and exploring the outdoors. I love bees, gnomes, anything with a French Bulldog on it, and Home Goods.

My goal is to lead my classes with positivity and to encourage students in anyway that I can. Please feel free to contact me at kathleen.garcia@fortbendisd.com for any of your needs and I will be happy to assist you.
