Hello, Parents and Shareholders, I am Gena Hyppolite. I am a proud self-published Amazon author of the book entitled, She Went to School for Art, which has sold over 100 copies. I received my Bachelor's degree from Lamar University in Graphic Design. With my Master’s Degree in Business Administration, I have created an art business at the Sugar Land Painted Tree where I market and sell wearable art. I am married with one daughter and one dog. I am here to teach elementary K-5 students. The students will learn about the principles and elements of art. Students will be given an abundance of opportunities to create unique pieces of art that demonstrate each individual's artistic expression that align with the TEKS and real world scenarios. These opportunities will include Oakland seasonal hallway art, the TEAMS contest for the Elementary Texas Teachers' Art Association, Rodeo Art (every 3 years), Rodeo Art coloring contest (3rd graders only), Art Club, Multicultural Night, Annual District Gallery in the Fall and Spring, and lastly, Youth Art Month. I've been a recipient of the Education Foundation grant for three consecutive years. Grants have included materials to include science and technology in the art class. I've been teaching for over 10 years, and I'm excited about helping your child develop creatively.
