My name is Erika Rubin and I am very excited to be your third grade teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.

I am a product of Fort Bend schools and am proud to be teaching here in this district. I am a native Houstonian and graduated from the University of Houston. Go Coogs! This is my 18th year at Oakland and my 20th year in Fort Bend ISD. Teaching is truly my passion and I can’t think of a better place to be than Oakland Elementary!

I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two beautiful boys and two bulldogs, Deuce and Belle.  I will have a college freshman and a 9th grader this year. I love spending my free time with them, whether it be at football games, watching movies, or just playing outside! We are big Houston Texans fans around our house!

I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be your teacher this year. We will learn and grow so much together!
