I am a Texas A&M graduate. I have been an elementary school teacher for twenty years. My student teaching and first two years in the classroom were with Northeast ISD in San Antonio. After moving to the Sugar Land area I taught fourth and fifth grade Math and Science at Meadows Elementary for six years. After having my third child I decided to stay home for a while. I returned to the classroom in 2008, and have been here at Oakland ever since. I have lived here in Waterside for 17 years. In my free time outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family. I have a daughter, Emily, who is a sophomore at Texas A&M. My oldest son Walker is a Senior at Travis. My youngest, Braden, is a Junior at Travis. I can often be spotted taking pictures or grading papers at all the baseball games. I really love when my students get that “sparkle” in their eye because they have learned something new. I strive daily to create lifelong scientists who always ask the “why, what and how” questions.
