Hello Wildcat Families!

My name is Vanessa Tilton and I am excited to be a part of our amazing 5th grade team and Oakland family. I Graduated from the University of Houston Downton with a Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education. My career started in a neighboring district before I came home to Fort Bend ISD, where I myself was a  student and where my two children currently attend. I am passionate about education and dedicated to every student I have the privilege of teaching and mentoring. I have a deep love of outer space, adventure and learning new things. 

In my free time, my family and I love to travel and explore new places. We are always up for a roadtrip, be it long or short. I am also a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and I currently serve as Cub Master to my daughters' pack. My family and I are also avid campers and hikers and I love to talk about all things camping and my National Park bucket list.   

I am looking forward to this school year and all the new adventures that await my students as they grow in their 1st grade journey.
