Welcome to Oakland Elementary and to my kindergarten class.
I am excited to be your kindergarten teacher this year! I am a graduate of the University of Houston and have taught kindergarten since 1993. I began my career at Lakeview Elementary and moved to Oakland when the school opened in 2006. I enjoy keeping up with many of my former students. It’s hard to believe that some of them have already graduated from college!
I have been married for 31 years. My husband, Ian, is also a teacher and coach in Fort Bend ISD at First Colony Middle School. I have two sons, Mason who is a graduate of Texas A & M and Lance, who is attending college at Texas State University. I also have a daughter, Ally, who is a graduate of Texas State University. She has followed in her mom’s footsteps and is teaching kindergarten in Fort Bend ISD.
I absolutely love teaching kindergarten and am so proud to be part of the Oakland team! It’s a great place to be an employee, student and parent!
