Welcome to Art Club's school page! 

Art Club is an after-school club for advanced art students to work on independent projects including art competitions (Rodeo Art, Jr. VASE, and more), collaborations with other Fine Arts, helping the art department with events, and other artistic projects. It is a chance for students to have extended studio time, one-on-one instruction, and to make connections with other student artists at school. The club is open for anyone who attends James Bowie MS, even if they are not currently in an art class. 

Due to limited availability, students must apply to attend Art Club each year. Only 20 students will be admitted based on their application and artwork submitted. The application process for Fall 2024 will start in September. Be listening to the student announcements each morning for more information! In the mean time, students can start creating or gathering artwork to submit for their application. Put your best foot forward! 

This will be the second year of Art Club sponsored by Ms. Picou. A typical Art Club day starts with announcements, but is mostly focused on work time. Occasionally, we will have pizza parties or celebrations after a big competition like Jr. VASE. Ms. Picou is hoping that the Art Club can do even more this year including more art contests (like Rodeo Art), collaboration with other Fine Arts clubs or classrooms, bonding time for the Art Club students, Art Club tshirts, fundraisers, and (if possible) creating a mural somewhere in the school.
