    What to Expect:

The presentation slot is 45-mintues, allowing about 30 minutes to present and 10-15 minutes for Q&A.  A computer will be available if you would like to access a cloud drive for a PPT or images during your presentation.  It may be easiest to email the teacher if remote access to your presentation is not available.

Each class has between 20 – 25 students.  Please be mindful of the ages of your audience when detailing particulars about your career, try to keep language simple and engaging.  Show-and-tell items, anything hands-on students can experience, or company swag are always a big hit!

Here are a few suggestions to include when talking about your experiences:

    1. How or why did you decide on your industry?
    2. Is this a small, family-owned business?  Or large company?
    3. If you are an entrepreneur and started the business you represent, how did you decide on a name and logo, etc.?
    4. Do you need specific schooling or skills to do your work?
    5. What does a day in the life of your career look like?
    6. How do you know you are doing a great job in your field?
    7. Do you use specific tools we can learn about?
    8. Do you have samples of your products we can see?
    9. Is there anything visual or hands-on you can show to represent your career?
    10. In your experience, what is the most important thing to consider when choosing a career field?

    Thank you for your support!
