Hi My name is Candace Ray,  and I am a 5th grade ELA teacher here at QVE.   I am originally from Huntsville, Alabama, but I've been living in the Houston area since 2015. I've been teaching for 7 years now and I love it. Before my teaching career,  I got my degree in Business, thinking I wanted to own a Daycare. Becoming an educator  kind of just fell in my lap. I worked as a Special Educational aid back home, specifically working with students that are hearing impaired, and that was the opportunity that motivated me to pursue a career in teaching and I am so glad I did.  I really loved making a difference in students' lives. It gives me purpose!
