Howdy!  Yes, I'm that Texan.

I was born in Corpus Christi, grew up hearding cattle in Big Bend and graduated from Pearland High School.  My father is an engineer and my mother a retired principal.  My mother had spent my whole life begging me to be an educator, she had sworn I would love it.  And, as many, once I reached my 30's I started listening to her.  I adore Early Childhood and helping students learn how to collaborate with others, advocate for themselves and identify their own feelings and those of others.  

When I'm not teaching at school, I teach, train and compete in BJJ.  Just like education, I found it later in life and have become obsessed.  I have a wonderful husband, and we will celebrate our 14th year of marriage this year.  Our daughter is in FBISD Middle School and was a proud QVE student herself.  

We daytrip for fun around Texas, attending festivals and enjoying the state we love so much.  We also enjoy time with our extended families as much as we can.

My life's philosophy is that we can always learn and grow from others, life is too short to try and figure it out on my own.
