Mrs. Ward Welcome to Pre-K 4 at the Early Intervention Academy. I am so excited to have your child in my class this school year. His or her time here will be well-spent. We will be learning many things in our classroom that they will be able to use here and at home as well. Together, as a team, we will make this a great school year! I would like to tell you a little about myself. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX. My husband and I moved to Houston 4 years ago. We have been married for 2 years in October. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Early childhood education from Texas A&M University - Kingsville. After 3 years of working as a para in a special education classroom I became certified to teach Special Education students. I knew early on in life that I wanted to be a teacher and feel as though teaching is something that I was called to do. During my time as a substitute teacher and as a para in a Special Ed class, I felt drawn to the Special Education students that needed the extra love and attention to see the aha moment happen. Early Intervention Academy is a great place to be! We believe that children are the treasures of the future. I truly believe that I am preparing students for tomorrow while caring for them today.
