Welcome Second Grade Scotties! I LOVE being a teacher, and it's a blessing to be a part of your child's learning journey. Our class will have so much fun this year as we develop our skills as readers and writers. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston. Go Coogs! This is my tenth year in education and my sixth year at Highlands. My husband and I live in Houston and love cheering on our Astros! While we don't have children of our own, I'm very close with my little brother who studies music education at Texas Christian University. We also have two sweet dogs named Olive and Teddy. 

My hope each year is to help our students develop the habits of lifelong learners, and to nurture their love of reading. I firmly believe that a strong partnership between teachers and our families is crucial for our students' success. I can't wait to partner with you and make this a great year for your child!
