Mrs. Carmen Ebeid

Hi! My name is Carmen Ebeid. I am so happy to be teaching your children this year!  I am originally from Egypt but I moved to Houston with my family 20 years ago.  My husband is an Electric Engineer. I have been married for 30 years, and I have two wonderful daughters. Carol is a Computer Engineer and Nadine is a nurse. I am a graduate of the American University of Cairo (AUC) with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

 I have been teaching for 10 years. I taught 2nd grade at Memorial Elementary HISD for 4 years. I also served as the GT Coordinator at Memorial for 2 years. I was honored to receive the ESL Teacher of the Year award in 2016-2017 at Memorial Elementary. I also taught at Sundown Elementary Katy ISD for 2 years. This is my 4th year at Highlands Elementary. I am doing Resource/ Co-Teach I am proud to be a part of the Highlands Elementary family. I know that this year is defiantly is going to be a unique and interesting year. I trust that all of us are going to try our best.

I am looking forward to an amazing learning journey. Although we know that this year will start in a different manner, I know that we will have a great year together! Remember that tough times don’t last long but tough people do!   Go Scotties!!!
