Welcome to Music at Highlands Elementary!  My name is Holley Linder and I am from Fort Worth, TX.  My love for music began with my Elementary Music Teacher and I began taking piano lessons when I was 8.  I went to Stephen F. Austin State University, where I received my Bachelor of Music.  This is my 22nd year teaching, 20 of which have been in Fort Bend ISD.  I am starting my 11th year here at Highlands Elementary.   

While I started playing piano at 8, when I was 12, I quickly developed a love for the French horn.  I still continue to play my French horn in my church orchestra.  I enjoy getting to play my instrument whenever possible.   

My goal in teaching music is to spread the joy of music while establishing a foundation for lifelong music appreciation.  In Music, we will sing, dance, play instruments, learn about different concepts of music as well as different genres.  Every year, students will have the opportunity to perform on stage for their grade level performance.  

Outside the classroom, I love spending time with my family.  My husband, Brandon, and I have been married for 19 years, 20 in January.  We have beautiful twin daughters who are in 9th grade at Dulles High School.  We also have 3 orange tabby cats and a rabbit.  We are avid Houston Astros fans.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, and crafting.
