Mrs. Debbie Yackus

Welcome to fifth grade.  Seventeen years ago, I began my teaching career in Fort Bend ISD.  This is my second year at Highlands Elementary. I’m currently teaching Science, Grammar and Writing.  In previous years, I have taught fourth and fifth grade Math and Science and Resource Math.

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Pete  for 16 years, and we are blessed with two energetic boys, Tristan 11 and Camden 9.  I can truly say, I love what I do each day and proud to call Highlands Elementary home!  I am so excited to be your child’s teacher, and I’m looking forward to a successful year with you and your child.  Fifth grade is a year full of new and exciting experiences
