Hello! My name is Courtney McGowen. I am a Resource teacher at Highlands Elementary.  

I graduated from the University of Houston and received my Bachelor of Science in Retailing and Consumer Science. I also received my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a Special Education Leadership concentration from Louisiana State University Shreveport. I graduated from Elkins High School, and I live in the area. Outside of work, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I love to do things related to the beauty industry as well. I look forwards to helping your child grow and feel accomplished in their academic career!
