Hello! My name is Edra Yskollari! The year of 2024-2025 will be my third year teaching third grade ELA at Highlands Elementary. I have been a teacher for a total of 12 years, and love every part of it. Reading and Writing are my absolute favorite subjects to teach. Reading opens your eyes and your imagination to new worlds filled with information to learn. And writing gives everything in your mind life. My teaching philosophy is to meet all kids on their level, and work on finding ways to tap into their creative mindset. When kids are happy, loved, and in a positive classroom environment, they learn. My goal this year, as in all years, is to encourage kindness, independent thinking, discovering your likes and dislikes, developing goals, and reaching our full academic potential.

A little about me; during my free time I enjoy gardening, taking care of my fruit trees and plants, reading, cooking, shopping at estate sales, riding my bike, and enjoying anything adventurous that can be done outdoors.
