Welcome to Ms. Horton's 1st grade class! 

I am so excited to embark on this wonderful learning journey with your child! This year promises to be filled with growth, discovery, and lots of fun.

This is my sixth year as an educator, and I am thrilled to be a part of the Malala Yousafzai Elementary family. I’m a proud graduate of the University of Houston and a Houston native. In my spare time, I enjoy dancing, singing, crafting, and watching shows with my family. I also love taking my furry friend, Jax, on long walks.

It is truly an honor and a blessing to help your child grow and achieve their goals as a 1st grader. I look forward to a fantastic year together—let’s make it amazing!
