Hi Leopard Families!

I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the third-grade team here at Malala Elementary. Teaching is not just my profession—it’s my passion, and I’m honored to share this journey with such a vibrant community of learners and educators.

My path in education began in Alief ISD, where I spent the past seven years growing both professionally and personally. I started out in the Family Engagement Department, where I discovered the deep connections that can be built between schools and their communities. That experience lit a spark in me, and I soon found myself drawn to the classroom while pursuing my graduate degree in Early Childhood Education (EC–6).

My teaching journey began in a dual-language math classroom, which beautifully blended cultures and numbers. I later transitioned into a self-contained Kindergarten class, where I discovered the joy and magic of those early school years. After a few wonderful years, I moved up to first grade alongside most of my students—a unique and rewarding experience that made our classroom feel more like a family. This year, I’m excited to step into third grade, focusing on Reading, Social Studies, Science, and Math. I’ve also completed my year at the Reading Academy, which has further strengthened my instructional foundation.

Coming from a family of educators, a love for learning and a heart for service have always been a part of who I am. I truly believe in the power of education to transform lives and build lasting communities.
