Hi there! I am so excited to be on the Malala Elementary 2nd Grade team. I come from Alief ISD with 7 years of experience in education. I began working in the family engagement department. I moved into teaching once I began my graduate program for Early Childhood Education, EC-6th Grade. I started in the classroom working in a dual language math class and moved into a position teaching self-contained Kindergarten. After a few years in Kindergarten, I moved up to first grade with the majority of my class and finished off the year with them in Alief. I am starting this year in second grade with a focus on Reading, Social Studies, Science and Math. I have already completed my year at Reading Academy. 

I come from a family of educators and always had a passion for learning and community service. I am looking forward to being a part of the Leopard family here at Malala and am so excited to be on this journey with all my students and families!
