Hello Leopard Family!
I am elated to join Malala Yousafzai Elementary. I am a dedicated, insightful professional with a proven track record of motivating students to reach their highest potential. Along with 15 years as an educator, I received a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a master’s degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. My certifications include Generalist (4-8) and Texas School Counselor (EC-12). My goal is to assist culturally diverse students within the school and the community to become successful lifelong learners prepared to be productive members of society while fostering relationships with administration, staff, and parents.
My name is Kim Reed-Hartley and I have been an educator and a counselor for over 20 years. I graduated from the University of Houston with my bachelor’s in psychology and Sociology. I received my master’s from Prairie View A&M in School Counseling. I have worked in elementary, middle school, and mental health.
Family is very important to me. I have a husband of 37 years, four adult children, and three grandchildren. When I am not at school, I love spending most of my time with them.
My passion is helping people, especially children! I enjoy working with students and assisting them to attain their educational and career goals, all while they navigate their social and emotional well-being.
