I am so excited to be a part of Malala Y. Elementary. This is my 3rd year teaching in Fort Bend ISD, but my 2nd year at Malala. 

I was born and raised in Texas near Louisana. I grew up in small towns most of my life and decided to move to the big city of Houston when I met my husband. I got my love of teaching elementary when I was in elementary myself. I loved how the teacher was able to be fun and come up with games while learning which made learning much easier for me to understand and be engaged! 
 
I went to Stephen F. Austin State University and majored in General Education from Early Childhood through 6th Grade. After moving to Houston out of college, I enrolled in Walden University for the Psychology program where I received my Master's degree. I am also currently going through the Doctorate program at Walden University. 

When I am not at Malala, I enjoy being with family and friends, and watching baseball with my husband and dog. Go ASTROS!!! 

I know that this year will be GREAT!! Go Little Leopards!
