Dear Leopard Families,

Hello and welcome! My name is Sarah Chapman, and I’m so excited to be your Fourth-Grade Math and Science teacher here at Malala Elementary! Teaching is truly my passion, and I feel so fortunate to work with such incredible students and families every year.

I’ve been teaching for 4 years, and every year brings new energy, ideas, and opportunities for growth. I earned my degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas here in Houston, and I’m always looking for new ways to grow as an educator through workshops, reading, and collaboration with colleagues.

My goal in the classroom is to create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to reach their fullest potential. I believe learning should be meaningful, fun, and connected to the real world.

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, painting, playing video games, and going to watch the Houston Dynamo. These moments outside of school help recharge and inspire me to bring my best self to my students every day.
