My name is Jen Townsend and I am so excited to be working at Malala Elementary.  I have been teaching for over 25 years.  I've taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, Second Grade and Third Grade.  I am a product of Fort Bend ISD schools and was in the first graduating class at Kempner High School.  I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education.  In my free time, I like to spend time with my children and my pets.  I also enjoy watching movies, shopping and going out to eat with my family.  

My mission as a teacher is to create a loving, safe environment for my students and to create a classroom where all students learn and have fun.
