Fee Waivers

What is a fee waiver?There are two types of fee waivers, SAT/ACT exam registration fee waivers and college application fee waivers.How do I know if I am eligible for a fee waiver? To be eligible for fee waivers (exam registration or college application), the student must be enrolled in the FBISD free and reduced lunch (FRL) program. Free or reduced lunch program applications are available online through School Cafe and students must re-apply every school year.Students can also be eligible if:
- Their annual family income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service
- They are enrolled in a federal, state or local program that aids students from low-income families (such as Upward Bound)
- They receive public assistance
- They live in federally subsidized public housing or a foster home, or are homeless
- They are a ward of the state or an orphan
How do I request an SAT or ACT testing fee waiver at RPHS? Please fill out this form to request an ACT or SAT fee waiver. Students are eligible for one fee waiver each for junior and senior year.How do I request a college application fee waiver at RPHS? When you complete your Common App application, please indicate that you will be paying via a fee waiver. It will notify me in SchooLinks and I will approve it. If you apply via ApplyTexas, please send me an email and let me know, and I will upload a fee waiver into SchooLinks for you.
