What is a fee waiver?There are two types of fee waivers, SAT/ACT exam registration fee waivers and college application fee waivers.How do I know if I am eligible for a fee waiver? To be eligible for fee waivers (exam registration or college application), the student must be enrolled in the FBISD free and reduced lunch (FRL) program. Free or reduced lunch program applications are available online through School Cafe and students must re-apply every school year.Students can also be eligible if:
- Their annual family income falls within the Income Eligibility Guidelines set by the USDA Food and Nutrition Service
- They are enrolled in a federal, state or local program that aids students from low-income families (such as Upward Bound)
- They receive public assistance
- They live in federally subsidized public housing or a foster home, or are homeless
- They are a ward of the state or an orphan
How do I request a SAT fee waiver at RPHS? All SAT fee waivers are now requested through the College Board website. Students are eligible for one waiver each for junior and senior year, which is good for two exam registrations each.- Visit sat.org/fee-waivers. You can also view complete eligibility information here.
- Sign in using your College Board account. If you don't have one, please create one using your personal email
- Click the yellow "Request" button
- Fill out the form. Under "Adult to Contact to Confirm Your Eligibility", select "Counselor" then enter "Susanna Jakubik in the "Full Name" field and "susanna.jakubik@fortbendisd.gov" in the "Email" field
- Complete the rest of the form and click the yellow "Submit" button
- Mrs. J will approve your eligibility and the fee waiver will automatically appear in your College Board account within 1-2 weeks

Students are eligible for one fee waiver each for junior and senior year.How do I request a college application fee waiver at RPHS? Please fill out this form to request a college application fee waiver. Mrs. J will email the waiver to you with instructions for use. Many colleges accept the RPHS college application fee waiver form (the ACT form), but not all. If you need a different kind of form after checking with your college, please ask Mrs. J.
