Dr. Mellissa Sanchez

Welcome to the library!  I began my career in education during the 2006-2007 school year right here in Fort Bend ISD. I am passionate about school libraries and the impact they have on our students' lives. It is my mission to encourage students to connect to their passion, create new knowledge, and contribute to our world.

Before becoming a librarian, I earned an undergraduate degree from Baylor University, served just shy of 4 years on active duty in the United States Air Force, and earned a graduate degree from Chapman University. Once I began serving as a librarian, I continued my education with additional graduate degrees in Library Science and Learning Technologies from the University of North Texas. It is a joy to serve the Meadows community, and I look forward to working with all of our Mustangs in the library.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns about our library program, please feel free to contact me at mellissa.sanchez@fortbendisd.com.
