Ms. Karen Lo is currently the Assistant Orchestra Director for the JBMS Orchestra. Ms. Lo received her Bachelor of Music with electives in Music Education from the University of Houston in the Spring of 2024. She studied under the tutelage of Dr. Betsy Cook Weber, and has performed with various choral and a cappella groups, such as UH’s Concert Chorale, Rhapsody, Acabellas, and Ardore. Ms. Lo has been playing the violin and piano since her early childhood, and teaches violin privately outside of school. Ms. Lo is also currently a member of her church’s worship team as a vocalist and instrumentalist. As a FBISD alumnus, Ms. Lo is excited to work with JBMS to cultivate the students’ passion for music.
