I'm excited about starting my sixth year of teaching science. I've loved science since middle school, where I had teachers that challenged and encouraged me. Their influence inspired me to go to college. As a first generation college student, I am proud to say that I am a Rice University graduate. There I studied Sports Medicine and started a path towards research. I spent the next few years after graduation working in clinical research for Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children's Hospital. It was there I realized I wanted a career in helping children grow a love for science. I am now honored to be a teacher and I can't wait to inspire and encourage students through science!
