Mr. Hartman

I am a seventh-year teacher at Dulles High School, and I teach AP World History and Academic Decathlon.

I graduated from Pearland High School and received a B.A. in Government at the University of Texas at Austin in three years.  While in high school, I participated in soccer, football, and band.  My junior and senior year, I also participated in Academic Decathlon and won a state championship, both individually and as a team, in 2008.  After accomplishing this, I decided that my calling in life was to be a teacher in hopes of helping students finding their best, most efficient way to learn.  After graduating from UT, I was a long-term substitute for a full semester as well as working in the Advanced Academics department in Pearland ISD.  I then moved to Dulles High School where I was an Algebra 1 teacher for a semester, before moving over to Social Studies to teach economics.  After being the Girls Soccer junior varsity coach for two years, and helping them make playoffs in 2013, I moved to head coach in 2014.  In 2014, I also began helping coach Academic Decathlon as we improved from 102nd to 10th in the state in one year.  Over the last two years the Dulles Academic Decathlon team has won back-to-back 6A State Championships.
