!Hola¡ My name is Denise Posa (being a graduate from Spain, most of my students just call me "Profe") and I teach Spanish 2 at Dulles High School. This is my 3rd year at Dulles and my 7th year teaching overall. I am a former Dulles student myself and started learning Spanish as my second language when I was a teenager. Therefore, I can certainly say that I empathize with my students who are trying to learn a language for the first time. It can be frustrating, especially when trying to learn to communicate, but because of our mistakes, we learn the most. I encourage my students to love their mistakes and keep using the language that we polish up the grammar as we move forward. My teaching focus is always communication and making my students global citizens. I have my bachelor’s degree from UH and a Master of Spanish Language and Culture degree from the University of Salamanca.
