Welcome to PTECH this new academic year! I am Miss Person and am excited to serve as your child's English I AAC teacher. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, and I am a proud U.S. Army Veteran! I have been in education for nearly two decades, instilling my military and collegiate expertise along the way. I look forward to the opportunity to provide your child with the most rigorously challenging, yet nurturing learning environment possible this year. My main professional goal is to not only equip PTECH students with English Language Arts skills and strategies to be effective communicators, critically analytical thinkers, and disciplined collaborators, but to also give them profitable instructional support to assist them to excel and finish well in all 9th-grade curriculum areas, as well as in their specific program courses at Houston Community College.
