Hello Parents, Guardians, Family, and Friends,

It is a pleasure being apart of the Hightower for going on three years now! This is my 19th year teaching theatre arts. My name is Tynesha Spikes and I’m the Head theatre director at Hightower High School here in Fort Bend ISD. I am a teacher, actress, poet, playwright, and blogger.  I started my career at Eisenhower High School in Aldine for 5 years, Elsik High School in Alief for 4 years. From there, I came to the Fort Bend district and taught at Missouri City Middle school for two years and a charter school for a year before returning to Fort Bend for one year at David Crockett Middle School. In short, I've definitely been around. I have a Bachelor's degree in Performing Arts, and a Master's in Educational Administration from the prestigious Prairie View A & M University. I also obtained a Masters in Theatre from the University of Houston. I love my students as my own, not to mention I happen to be a mom of six (and they’re all mine!) ages 5-15. This year, like every year, we are challenged to do what we love to do, which is entertain. I’m humbled that I work with so many talented students that will embark on this journey with me. We would love and thank the community for their continued support.
