This is my 12th year as an educator including 4 years at Clements High School. Learning is an ongoing process and plays a major role as we evolve into a better person. I am a passionate life-long learner; and I encourage my students to do so as well.
Before teaching, I worked 22 years in the area of Biomedical Research between two prestigious Texas Medical Center institutions; M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Baylor College of Medicine. I advanced from being a Research technician to a Senior Biomedical Researcher. Although I enjoyed the technological advances in research and medicine, I answered to the calling of becoming an educator.
It is a pleasure to teach Health Science and to serve as advisor for two student organizations, HOSA:Future Health Professionals and National Technical Honor Society-HOSA.
