Hello, my name is Jacquelyn Velasquez and this is my seventh year at Sienna Crossing and my 13th year of teaching. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2012.  From there, I started my teaching career in Pasadena ISD and I taught second for two years and kindergarten for one year. I also taught kindergarten at Quail Valley Elementary for three years. I have twin boys entering seventh grade and my daughter will be in 2nd grade!

I am excited to be joining the first grade team this year! I enjoy having fun with my students and researching ways to make learning engaging and relatable for them. I truly treasure the time I have with my class and watching them grow throughout the year. 

When I am not at school, I love spending time with my kids and my husband. We love watching the Texans and Astros play, and hanging out at the beach!
