Hello! I would like to welcome you to my 6th/7th grade ELA classroom.
I am honored and privileged to be a part of your child’s learning environment.
I graduated from Texas Woman’s University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. My passion for students and their future encourages me to establish an environment within my classroom where students are able to build upon their learning. As a result of my practices, I hope that my students are able to use what they obtain in the classroom and apply it to real world situations to enhance their overall development.
I began my teaching career in Aldine Independent School District in 1996. After teaching in Aldine for 12 years, I transferred to Alief Independent School District. In 2009, I decided to return to the district that provided me with my educational background.
Being a product of Fort Bend Independent School District, I believe in providing a desirable environment and establishing a well- rounded comprehensive curriculum for all my students to learn and grow.
Because of the changes occurring in our society, I try to provide an atmosphere that embraces multiculturalism and is non-threatening for all to become critical thinkers, productive, responsible citizens and life-long learners.
