Hello, Warriors! This is my 16th year with Fort Bend ISD; all of my teaching years have been at Hodges Bend Middle School. I enjoy teaching and facilitating English/ Language Arts (ELA) at HBMS. My best part of being a teacher is making a difference in students' lives and working with each student in the classroom. I enjoy guiding students to become life-long learners through engagment, exploring, and inquiring approaches. It is a pleasure to work with diverse learners and watch the students grow!
I was born in Houston, Texas, but I moved to a small town called Navasota when I was a child. I graduated from Navasota High School, and I decided to further my eduacation. I went to Blinn College, and I received a two-year degree. Later, I decided to attend Sam Houston State University to become a teacher, and I recieved my bachelor's degree. Lastly, I wanted to learn more about education administration, so I enrolled in a graduate program at Concordia University. I accomplished my master degree! As you can see, eduacation is important to me and I am still learning new material daily! I love learning new things!
In addition, I am a wife, a proud mom of two children and a grandmother! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Also, during my spare-time, I like to travel and read! I never have a dual moment in my life! I'm living, laughing, and loving life!
Now that you know a little information about me, I would like to welcome you to start a new year with goals that you or your child plan to accommplish in ELA class. Let's go Warriors!
