Bachelors of Music Education
Mr. Goldfarb
2024-2025 will mark my twelfth year as the Director of Bands here at Hodges Bend Middle School and my seventh year as Fine Arts/ Elective Department Head. I am now the longest serving Director of Bands in the history of the HBMS Band program. I am also the TMEA Region 13 Vice-President and TMEA Area BH Mentor Network Coordinator. I graduated from Texas Christian University (TCU) with a Bachelors of Music Education. I started my teaching career in Santa Fe ISD (TX) for two years before heading to Pasadena ISD (TX) for nine years. I come from a musical family in which all four children were in Band or Choir. I have played a musical instrument for over 35 years, which includes my primary instrument, the trumpet. I am a member of Kappa Kappa Psi (Honorary Band Fraternity) and TMEA. I have two teenagers at home. I am an avid baseball fan, especially watching my son and the Chicago Cubs.
