Welcome to the Family Engagement Center! 

I am Krystal Byrd, your Parent Educator here at Hodges Bend Middle School. I am here to provide HBMS families and the community with educational tools, resources, and support to benefit you and your students. Through the classes and programs that I offer at the Family Center, we can build a strong family engagement partnership, which I believe is a key part of student success. I can’t wait to start building relationships with you!

The Family Center provides Parents/ Guardians support in:

• Assisting with Skyward, Schoology, and basic computer skills
• Parenting/ Life Skills: Parent Workshops, Practical Parent Education, fun DIY crafts, and school events
• Basic Literacy Classes/ Conversation Circle: Practicing basic English in a safe environment
• Family Health and Wellness/ Self-Care Resources and tips for family fitness and nutrition.
• HMBS Book Club: Reading and journaling together on books from our HBMS Library
