Hello Warriors! I'm Coach Gardner. I am thrilled to join the HBMS Family and help my students in any way I can as they pursue EXCELLENCE. This will be my 3rd year at Hodges Bend MS, and my 13th year teaching overall. I will be teaching boys P.E. & coaching football, track, and boys soccer

I am a Fort Bend ISD product who attended Dulles Elementary and Middle school before graduating from DHS. I am blessed to have the opportunity to serve in a school district that poured so much into me. 

After graduating from the University of Houston, I began my career as a Middle School Social Studies teacher in Fort Bend ISD before transitioning to Physical Education in HISD and then Alief ISD. Along the way, I obtained my M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction. I am thankful for my experiences and honored to return to FBISD and Hodges Bend MS.

In my free time I enjoy traveling and spending time with my wife, who is also a teacher, and our three awesome kids. I also enjoy cooking, exercising regularly, and fishing.

My goals for my students are for them to feel safe, become more active, make informed decisions regarding their personal wellness, have fun, and build healthy habits that will last a lifetime. I look forward to working with your child as we strive for EXCELLENCE!
