Mrs. Christina Henry
Special Education: Case Manager and Math In-Class Support Specialist (Grades 7-8)
Greetings, CMMS Hawks!
This is my fifth year teaching at Christa McAuliffe Middle School and my seventeenth year in education. I am a longtime resident of Missouri City, Texas, and a proud graduate of Briargate Elementary, Missouri City Middle School, and Willowridge High School. I earned my undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from the University of Houston and later completed a master’s degree in Architecture.
Prior to beginning my teaching career, I worked with WHR Architects, contributing to projects such as Memorial Hermann Hospital in Sugar Land, the DeWitt School of Nursing at Stephen F. Austin State University, and other healthcare facilities.
My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that all students can achieve at high levels when they are given meaningful support, clear expectations, and a safe environment in which to learn. As a Special Education Case Manager and Math In-Class Support Specialist, I focus on removing barriers to learning through differentiated instruction, intentional accommodations, and collaborative partnerships with teachers, students, and families. I strive to build students’ confidence in mathematics by emphasizing growth, persistence, and problem-solving over perfection, while helping students become self-advocates who understand their own learning needs.
