Hello, my name is John Vasquez and I teach Texas history here at Mcauliffe Middle School. I am a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in history. This is my 25th year teaching history, and in that time, I've taught Texas history -7th grade for 8 years, US history -8th grade for 5 years, US history-11th grade for 3 years and World history for 9 years. I am also a student of history and forever will be a student as there is always more to learn! I love to read all kinds of genres but find myself of late in current affairs related to WMD arms proliferation, interesting stuff. I love to travel and have been fortunate enough to have experienced over 50 countries and counting. It is my goal to bring my experiences into the classroom to help students make sense of the world around them.
