Hello and welcome back to an exciting 2022-2023 school year! I am Ms. Kirk and I am so happy that you stopped by. Please allow me to tell you a bit about myself.

I graduated with from Texas Southern University where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Mathematics.  I went on to earn my Masters of Education in Educational Administration, Curriculum & Instruction and Instructional Technology from Prairie View A&M University.  Currently, I am working on masters in School Counseling at Lamar University.  My passion for educating and supporting our youth drives me to create lifelong learners and make my career rewarding and fulfilling.

I began my career teaching elementary school in the Houston Independent School District in 1997.  After several years, I decided to join the Fort Bend Independent School.  In 2004, I began teaching 8th grade Mathematics at Missouri City Middle School.  After seven years, I moved to Quail Valley Middle School where I taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade Math for eleven years.  I am happy to be back at Missouri City teaching 6th grade Math and 6th grade AAC Math this school year.

Watching my students grow and expand their understanding of various subjects, makes my job more than a job. My first love, as it relates to the subjects I teach, is Math. In my opinion, math is not only a subject area that many lack great knowledge but also a universal language.

To all of you parents out there...THANK YOU for allowing me the privilege of working with your child this year. As we become partners in your child's life for this short school year, let's work as a team to make this one of the BEST experiences ever. Together, we can help your child develop a genuine love of learning and a stronger educational foundation for the years to come!
