Greetings community and families. Hi, I am Mr. Holst and I am happy to be here with our diverse community of stakeholders and students this year. I hold both a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master's of Science in Educational management. I have been teaching in Texas public schools now for 33 + years and have enjoyed many marvelous milestones along the journey of shaping young minds within education throughout my career this far. My teaching philosophy is centered around growing the whole child intellectually and socially through my profound passion for music literacy and music therapy. My instrument focus at Stephen F. Austin State university was Voice and I have an all-level certificate with the state of Texas in Music education. Professionally, I formerly sang with the Houston Grand Opera Chorus for 6 years as a tenor under the direction of renowned Maestro Richard Bado. My main goal is to provide rigorous performance opportunities and music literacy to all types of learner intelligence under the graduate profile offered by the district. Providing customer service to all stakeholders is always in my heart here at Oyster Creek and I look forward to hearing from you all soon. In conclusion, it is with extreme honor that I connect and build meaningful relationships for now and the future. Thanks and I hope to meet you at a concert or school function soon.
