Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year! I am thrilled to return to Oyster Creek Elementary School as a 3rd grade math and science teacher. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 2002 and a Masters in K12 Educational Leadership in 2010 from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Before moving to Texas, I spent 18 years in the classroom and 3 years in administration in Louisiana. I also served as a mentor, sharing my love of teaching with aspiring educators.

On a personal note, I was born and raised in a small southern Louisiana town surrounded by a large extended family. My daughter recently graduated from law school at U of H and is getting married in December. We are experiencing very exciting times!

Teaching and learning is my passion. I love seeing the expressions on students' faces as they navigate a new concept from introduction, to practice, and most importantly...achieving mastery. Sharing that excitement with amazing kiddos is priceless!
