Ms. Laura Van Demark

My name is Laura Van Demark, and I am a 5th grade math and science teacher here at Oyster Creek Elementary.  I have been with Fort Bend ISD since 2008.  I started off in the Extended Day program while working to complete my degree in Elementary Education.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Houston Downtown.  After graduating, I started teaching at Mary Austin Holley as a 5th grade self-contained teacher for 1 year.  I later ended up at Mission Glen Elementary working as a 4th grade math and science teacher.  I worked at Mission Glen for several years and was transferred here to Oyster Creek due to high enrollment in 2018.  I am so happy to be here and really enjoy working with children.  They are our future.
